Being with it All, Tenderly
Leader: Zenshin (Candice) Bernes
Type of Program: Special Theme
Prerequisites: Familiar with the term Equanimity and Tour of the senses, but guidance will be clear enough for no previous experience
Fee: $20 per person
We all have patterns of relating to what arises, born out of our individual life experiences. We have our individual cravings and aversions, joy and suffering. While our tendency is to push certain experiences away and pull others closer in the hope they will endure, it is not always apparent to us how this dance holds together a ‘sticky’ sense of self. We will be exploring ways of releasing our usual self-view into a transcendent awareness, one that does not depend on the conditions we tend to hold dear. We will be taking a gentle approach, coaxing our habitual ways into a wider container of equanimity-as-compassion.

Spreading Sunlight - Feel Rest
Leader: Kasia Haftek-Lis
Type of Program: Special Theme
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the Feel Rest family of techniques
Fee: $20 per person
In this program, I invite you yo explore the Unified Mindfulness technique Feel Rest using the metaphor of spreading sunlight to support your experience. You’ll begin by noticing areas of rest or ease already present in the body, then allow your attention to gently follow how those sensations naturally expand—like warmth from sunlight gradually spreading across the body. This practice may reduce unnecessary effort and increase your ability to stay present with sensations of ease and relaxation in the body. Over time, it can support a sense of calm, clarity, and connection.
