Focus on Feel: Cultivating Concentration, Clarity, and Equanimity Through Sensations

Leader: Preethi Balan
Type of Program: Drill / Accelerator
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the See, Hear, Feel family of techniques

Theme Blast: Focus on Feel (In/Out/Rest/Flow)

This 2-hour session will introduce you to the Focus on Feel practice. It will begin with a brief explanation of the technique, including how it helps in mindfulness skill-building. The first 45 minutes will be dedicated to guided practice, focusing on each aspect of sensation: Feel In, Feel Out, Feel Rest, and Feel Flow—each explored for a few minutes to help deepen your awareness. Following a 5-minute break at the top of the hour, you'll engage in 10 minutes of practice in motion, applying the concepts of focus on feel to dynamic movement. In the final 45 minutes, we’ll integrate all the aspects of Feel In, Feel Out, Feel Rest, and Feel Flow, combining them into a fluid, cohesive experience to enhance your mindfulness practice.

Mastering Equanimity: Roadway to Deeper Change

Type of Program: Sharpening
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of and experience with the attentional skills Concentration, Sensory Clarity, and Equanimity.
Fee: $20 per person

You could say that Equanimity is the main attentional skill that is supported by Concentration and Sensory Clarity. Equanimity is the 'non-judgment' skill that reduces friction in our sensory system and that creates the deepest positive changes in our perception. Sometimes equanimity seems elusive, and something that we may forget to apply when challenged. We may be unsure of the myriad ways that we can percieve it, understand its layers, foster and explore it, and be empowered by it. Find out how you can enrich your practice in your own way as we take a deep dive into Equanimity!

The Mindfulness Cafe: A Feast of Practical Techniques for Daily Life

Meditate Together on a Whole Other Level

We'll learn to practice and engage our social selves very strongly. We'll be labeling out loud, taking turns. You'll get to explore more of the social self than usual, as well as experience how much of an accelerator for your concentration, sensory clarity and equanimity it is, to practice this way.

The Alchemy of Breath: Elevating Unified Mindfulness Practice through Pranayama

This immersive session combines the science behind the ancient art of pranayama with Unified Mindfulness practice, revealing how breathwork transforms the nervous system, enhances focus, and deepens meditative states. Through a structured progression—from activating breathwork to cleansing and balancing techniques, and finally to deep calming practices—participants will explore the full spectrum of breath’s power. Each breathing practice will be seamlessly integrated with Unified Mindfulness techniques, cultivating concentration, sensory clarity, and equanimity. Through this progressive approach, participants will unlock deeper states of presence and elevate their meditation practice.
