All the Feels

Leader: Julie Burch
Type of Program: Cross Training
Prerequisites: None
Fee: $20 per person

We will explore and combine a variety of ways we can work with the sensory experience of feel: out, in, rest, good, flow, bounce, space, and breath. The self-awareness and insight that comes from recognizing and having equanimity with our felt experiences can amplify well-being, increase energy, and reduce suffering.

Sound Journey: Awareness Through Frequency

Leader: Jenny Diakolambrianos
Type of Program: Special Offering
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the See, Hear, Feel and Nurture Positive techniques.
Fee: $20 per person

In this immersive home practice program session, we’ll combine Unified Mindfulness tools with guided sound bath experiences to explore how sounds and frequencies can create different inner states. We will practice the art of listening through a variety of sound healing instruments including singing bowls, gongs, chimes, tuning forks, and other resonant sounds, while applying practices such as SHF (See Hear Feel) and techniques from the Nurture Positive quadrant to discover how sound can evoke sensory states and support positivity, inner awareness, and self-exploration. The session is designed to be accessible for both beginners and experienced meditators. Come rest, listen, and explore how sound can support your practice.

There is no preparation reading for this program.

Smoke and Mirrors: Spaciousness and Self-Inquiry

Leader: Kevin Lacroix
Type of Program: Cross Training
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the See, Hear, Feel family of techniques
Fee: $20 per person

What is experience made of? And where is the light of awareness that knows it?

In this offering, we'll explore two of Unified Mindfulness's Transcendence themes, and the relationship between them. First, we'll practice relaxing into a diffuse, unified openness, allowing experience to reveal its own ethereal nature — the seemingly personal and the impersonal alike dissolving into the same luminous stuff. Then, from that ground, we'll turn the inquiry around: what is aware of all this? Where is it? What might open up through these practices? Perhaps a loosening of the impression that we're bound by separateness — the openness woven throughout all experience rising to the surface. And when we begin to sense that what we are, is prior to the self-story, we may find we're no longer trapped in the movie — but something closer to light at the source itself.

Embodied Equanimity

Leader: Ben Donnelly
Type of Program: Foundations
Prerequisites: Familiarity with Feel Good, Feel Rest, Feel Space, and Feel Flow are recommended but not required.
Fee: $20 per person

Unified Mindfulness defines equanimity as the ability to allow sensory experience to come and go without push or pull. This session explores equanimity not only as a skill, but as a felt experience. By applying the nurture positive technique to an exploration of the physical sensations of rest, spaciousness, and flow, you’ll discover how equanimity uniquely feels in your own body and explore how intentionally cultivating non-resistance in the body can become a doorway to a more global sense of equanimity throughout the wider sensory system.
